OIL CONQUEST AUTOMATIC LOGIN DOCUMENTATION

A Revolutionary Idea: Automatic Login

Due to the request of several users on the Oil Conquest Forums, the development team is proud to announce Automatic Login. As opposed to logging every time if you are the only one on your computer, or the only user on your computer's user profile, you can now set a cookie to save your session information.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. I read online that cookies are not secure to hold information such as passwords. Is this true?

In most cases, yes. Cookies are small files stored in your user account for your operating system for multiple reasons. However, the purpose of this cookie is to save information for our server to pick up and automatically login. Additionally, our password algortihm makes it very difficult and time consuming to steal a password from, so added security is enabled onto your cookie.

  2. How do I enable this?

To enable automatic login, first visit your Territory Settings Page in your Territory Toolbox. Next, navigate to the Automatic Login Field. You Should See Information Similar to This:

    EXAMPLE
       -   Check to Enable

Or if you have it enabled already:

    EXAMPLE
       -   Check to Enable

The checkbox is the confirmation to enable it, and the icon to the right of it shows whether or not it is enabled or disabled. If you check / uncheck the box, allow a few minutes for the changes to take effect. If it does not, make sure you have cookies enabled.

    EXAMPLE
       -   Check to Enable

If you see this window, simply save changes and the cookie will update itself.
